ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hello, my name is Fernando Gonzalez but many people also know me under the name Auf die Faust. I am a passionate food blogger, designer and photographer
I envisioned a picnic like one in my childhood where friends and family come together. Food, drinks and experiences are shared and everything merges together. To better visualize my Mexican heritage, I worked with the visual idea of a serape for it
As a creative and food blogger, I would like to be remembered as part of the scene that simply did things differently
Do what you like and when you realize that you like it, stick with it, work on it and try it out again and again
HERITAGE
I try to see things differently and always find my own visual language
Maybe it’s instinctive in the end, you have your working method but you should move with the times and be open to new things. If you find a creative balance, the whole thing will usually pay off, even if it takes a few attempts
In which people exchange ideas creatively and are nice to each other. Communication is key
QUALITY
By challenging yourself and going through your own quality processes. The first draft will often not be the best, even though the idea may already be there. You can always keep your own quality high through your own challenges
In fact, it happens more often than you think, it is important to realize the “problem” early and to work proactively on a solution
At the end of the day, the result has to be right, if the final product is of a high quality, then you will always recognize that
Always challenging yourself
PASSION
Good food and the stories of people. I always have my camera with me and love not only photographing the food in front of me but also talking to the people behind it. This quickly leads to great conversations and I get insights behind the scenes which I can then capture visually.
2021 – 5 years Auf die Faust, together with friends we organized a Sunday Taco Pop Up and suddenly there were hundreds of people who not only trusted my recommendations but also simply wanted to try my food, talk to me or toast with me. When I started the project by chance a few years ago, I never thought it would have such a big and positive impact on my life
There are many of these stories where I got into conversation with people during a meal, who told me their stories and gave me an insight into their lives and behind the scenes. These experiences have resulted in great friendships over the years, which I am very happy about.
This is a feeling that you can feel in the room and you like to be guided by the positive energy
